PSX backup and general info
All PSX games have copy protection and region coding.
This is an attempt by Sony
to dictate what consumers can use and buy from the local games shop.
The only way around this is to install a modchip
into your psx. This is needed to play NTSC games on a PAL PSX and vice versa and
to play backups and so-called Hong Kongs.
Installing a modchip requires some soldering skill. Unless you feel like
killing your playstation it is suggested that you get someone that knows
what they are doing to install it.
Burning the CD
Use Verbatim Data Life Plus CDR Disks
Use CDRWin, Nero Burning Rom or Prassi CD Right
Read data at full speed and audio tracks at one speed
Write the entire disk at one speed
Enjoy
This is the best way to ensure that there is no skipping in the video or audio.
